These Oracles Have Predicted It All. Do You Know Them?

The most famous of all Greek oracles is that of Pythian Apollo at Delphi, where the god answered questions through the mouth of Pythia, his prophetess. But the oldest oracle, it seems, was that of Zeus Naios and Dionè, at Dodona, Epirus. The oracle of Apollo, in Ionia, was attended notably, but not only, by the Greeks of Asia Minor.
Dozens of other oracles existed everywhere, more or less important, more or less known. Many of them had to have a purely local clientele, which did not prevent them from being alive and frequented.

The two most famous oracles of the world
The Oracle of Delphi
The Oracle of Delphi was not just an attraction like today, for example, a fortuneteller at a folk festival. The oracle was an important institution of life. All walks of life have not made any important decisions without receiving the oracle. It was not only in Delphi, in the temple of Apollo, clairvoyant priestesses, but everywhere in Greece, there were oracles sites. The oracle of Delphi, however, is by far the most famous of all oracles, it has been visited by powerful kings and rulers.
As you enter the oracle, let the participant above the first entry recognize you. At the second entrance, it was analogous. Then you recognize the god. This note contains an important esoteric message, that part of the divine power of creation is contained in every human being, and that only the inner look reveals the truth to reality.
For an answer from Delphi’s oracle, the questioners had to interrogate a psychic. This medium was usually a visionary priestess, Pythia. Counselors rarely spoke directly to Pythia, most of the oracle was transmitted and interpreted by high priests. Only rich questioners received a direct answer from the oracle. Ordinary people received the answer only through a bullet, firing black and white bullets that represented only yes or no. No additional information was provided.
Wealthier questioners, such as kings, princes and wealthy merchants, received the answer directly from the high priests, who interpreted the oracle of Pythia. The Oracle’s answer was often ambiguous.
The Oracle of Dodone
On the ridge of Mount Tamaros, in Epirus, Dodone, “the windy”, is the oldest oracle dedicated to Zeus and the Mother Goddess, revered under the name of Dione. The oracle of Zeus and Dione, Dodone was one of the most famous oracles of the Hellenic world. The ruins of Dodone were recognized by Carapanos who undertook the excavation in 1873. Searches were repeated between the two wars and have continued since 1952.
The ancient existence of Dodona, repeatedly mentioned in the Homeric texts, was confirmed by the discovery of objects, some of which date back to prehistory. A small elliptical building of the submarine or protogeometric period has been discovered. The archaic period has left many testimonies but no vestiges of construction; it seems that the worship ceremonies took place in a sacred grove on the site of the basilica.
