Ego versus intuition: what voice to listen to?
Humans have a natural tendency to stay in the comfort zone because our brain needs habits and patterns to save energy. When we need to make an important decision, it’s because it is out of our standard. Whether starting a new sport, taking a course, investing in a business venture, which profession to choose, which school to place children, etc. All of these decisions have one thing in common: let’s get feedback from friends and family. The impulse to make the decision comes from within, but there are two motivating factors: Ego versus intuition.
The dilemma is to identify the real motivation. If we go to the gym because we are unhappy with our body (Ego) it is different from deciding why you wanted to invest in your health.

Problems start when it involves work. If a young man decides to pursue a career in engineering or medicine, everyone applauds the decision. However, if he decides to be a musician, the vast majority will be against it.
Ego versus intuition
Intuition doesn’t speak loudly in our head
At any given time, whether we are in or out of a state of complete relaxation, we have a variety of thoughts going through our minds at the same time. Most of these thoughts are not really ours. Many are the voice of the “unconscious”, which is the outer Consciousness. In other words, it means that energetically we are attuning to the thoughts and mindsets of all beings individually & collectively. It also depends on how often we ourselves are; for our energy is a frequency and our mind and heart are the antenna that tunes with similar energies and this also dictates what comes to us via thought.
Therefore, the less relaxed, the more random our thinking patterns are. Intuition is the soft whisper beneath it all. That is why it is important to practice some kind of meditation or at least pay attention to your slow breathing, your heartbeat for a few moments to touch your inner silence.
Identify the one who stimulates you and the one who pushes you to give up
The Ego is the evil little voice, if we stick to the symbolic image of the angel and the devil, one on each shoulder. The angel is there to help you, to put you on a path that guarantees your good development and your security.
Intuition never goes in the opposite direction to your progress. It’s only there as a lifeline. Nothing to do with the mind that will push you to the limit. It will remind you that you have not reached your goals, that you are soft, slow, that you said that you could be counted on and that you did not pursue your goals. The mind rots your life. It’s the one that feeds bad thoughts. It only takes one stray thought, one to trigger it, something, anger, hurtful speech.
Ego versus intuition: what voice to listen to?
It’s up to you. If you align your consciousness with fear-based thoughts and think the world is dangerous, you will need to control it to feel safe. In this case, you are led by the voice of the ego. Your approach to life will make you look more on the outside world than on the inside. The focus in your life will be on being safe by taking control of the outside world.
However, if you line up with love, feeling completely secure with an essence that can never be taken away from you. So you follow the voice of intuition. The inner world is the priority before the outside world. The main purpose is to express who you are deeply. For example, this is how Jesus or Buddha interacted with the world: by expressing their inner peace and joy by giving love.
