The end of year celebrations offer the opportunity to have fun to share convivial moments with loved ones. So is wearing white in the New Year’s eve the best choice for you?

Wearing white in the New Year’s eve

White can be worn in various forms in winters. However some rules are necessary to respect to have a look dazzling whatever the style. The first is to avoid wearing faded white at all costs. A white garment that has lost its shine is only good to throw away, so daring to wear it is a big no-no.

Also, if you want to wear it anyway, bet on the combination of clothing and accessories. Take for example a white wool turtleneck sweater over khaki over-size pants or a bottle green pencil skirt that you will accessorize with white ankle boots for a causal-chic look.

Wearing white: knitwear and more knitwear

Knitting is in fashion this year, except for the horrible Christmas knitting hidden in the back of your wardrobe. Impossible to go wrong with comfortable sweaters in white and natural tones, navy blue or with geometric shapes or coarse wool knits. However, you have to be careful with the proportions. Combine large sweaters with tighter skirts and pants. White wool dresses are also trendy. An ultra-relaxed style that complements your silhouette.

Do not exaggerate on accessories

To be as decorated as your Christmas tree? Between us … it’s not really advisable. So not to be the twin of your Christmas tree, wear your accessories sparingly.

Between the headband, the hat, the necklaces, the bracelets, the rings and the pockets… you will have to make a choice. You can therefore opt for the wearing of an imposing and original accessory, such as a bib necklace, to mix with a top or a white dress.

If on the contrary, your outfit is already original, choose to wear only a few small jewels, preferably fine and discreet, in order to avoid an accumulation and a mix and match of accessories which could make you look like Christmas decorations.
