Guduchi (Amrita)

Its name means “immortality”. Highly valued in India, as it is known as the elixir of life and the protector of the body, since it strengthens the immune system, tones the body and opens the appetite. Thus, it is used for liver or heart problems, as it cleans the arteries and stabilizes blood pressure. It is indeed one of the greatest Ayurveda herbs.

Brahmi

Brahmi has astringent properties (it dries and contracts the mucous membranes), a bitter and sweet flavor and a refreshing potency. This is one of the Ayurveda herbs that balance Vata and Kapha Dosha. In the psycho-emotional area, it has positive effects on anxiety, insomnia, and the promotion of brain functions such as memory and intellect integrity. It is considered a rasayana (rejuvenating) for the mind.

Triphala

ayurveda herbs

It is the traditional formulation of Ayurvedic herbs from three fruits that are vernacular for the Indian subcontinent. Triphala’s combination includes Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki. It includes natural internal cleaning properties. Helps maintain regularity, nourishes and revitalizes tissues. In addition, this natural antioxidant helps in healthy digestion and absorption.

Neem

This one has powerful health-promoting properties and has been used for thousands of years to cure different types of diseases. Neem is good for lungs, skin moisture and hair. According to Ayurveda, we use it individually to balance Vata, pitta and Kapha. Although it is bitter, it has a great impact on our skin, making the complexion clear and flawless. It also helps:

  • To build a strong immunity system;
  • In cleansing the body’s ama (toxins);
  • To develop a healthy blood sugar level by favoring blood circulation;
  • In reducing heat and unnecessary toxins.

Dashmool

Dashmool, or dashamula, is an Ayurvedic formula that contains the roots of ten plants.

Traditionally used to remove excess Vata within the body. At the same time, it nourishes and tones the muscles, calms the nervous system and promotes lung health. It offers stability and regulates the functions of apana vayu.

It integrates many compositions of oils used for pain relief and inflammatory processes. Furthermore, compositions with more than one plant are common in Ayurvedic phytotherapy. These associations have been used for thousands of years and bring with them a harmonious synergy, which comes to minimize the disturbance of doshas that are not in focus during treatment.
