Feng Shui in the Bedroom for a good night’s sleep
The bedroom is an environment that should receive the same attention as all the rooms in a household when applying Feng Shui. It is in our bedroom that we must find the peace and relaxation necessary to have a good night’s sleep, restoring our physical and mental energies.
For this, we must keep the negative energy away and also a good flow of chi through the environment, which should not be messy or too strong; if it is very strong the occupants will be restless and will have difficulty sleeping. That is why we will talk about some techniques that help in harmonizing the energies of Feng Shui in the bedroom.
Feng shui in the bedroom – Headboard
When we enter into our sleep state, the body begins its energetic repair process on several levels. Feng Shui says that this moment should be used to the fullest. For the body to feel safe during this process, it needs a solid support for the head. Then invest in a solid bed headboard and preferably made of wood.
Bed on the Ground
Beds with drawers or other storage systems have been the option of many people to get more space inside the room but although they are not totally prohibitive, they are not recommended by Feng Shui. This is because most of them are almost entirely supported on the floor, which prevents the circulation of energy beneath the person who is sleeping. During sleep, the energies need to circulate around our body so that the healing and restoration process is adequate.
Feng shui in the bedroom – Chests of drawers
Having two dressers, one on each side of the bed, will help keep your energies centered while you sleep. They work as a grounding medium and provide balance on the sides of the bed, so it is recommended that you have one for each side of your mattress; for couples, this will help balance the sense of equality in the relationship. Ideally, the dressers should be round in shape and not in the traditional square, since the round ones offer a better locking of Chi energies that could be harmful to sleep.
Electronics and Mirrors
The electromagnetism of electronic gadgets may be bad for your sleep; in addition, they function as distractions and take away the essence of the room being a place of rest and relaxation. Mirrors should be avoided in the bedroom, especially in front of the bed and in doors, as they are excessively energetic and can act as energy flow blockers.
