Meditation can be practiced in the position you find most comfortable. You do not necessarily need to cross your legs in the lotus position, with your palms open, resting on your knee. It’s possible to meditate lying down, standing, sitting on a chair or leaning on a pillow.

Jainism: a brief history

It’s widely accepted that Jainism was born in the VII century BCE in the famous Ganges basin of Eastern India. Indrabhuti Gautama and Sudharma, two of the eleven disciples of Mahavira, are considered the founders of the monastic community of Jain, and Jambu, a third disciple, is believed to be the last person of this era to achieve enlightenment.

A religious system of beliefs

The word Jainism comes from Sanskrit seed ji, which means “to conquer”. It’s a reference to the battle renunciants have to fight against desires and aversions and the senses of the body to achieve enlightenment.

Jainism worships the 24 Tirthankaras, perfected human beings that from time to time appear to preach faith. Krishna, Arishtanemi and Rama, among other figures from the Hindu tradition.

It is believed that the person must complete perfection a purification of the soul, even though it’s proclaimed that nowadays it’s not possible to achieve liberation because of corruption, pollution and crimes. This state of freedom is called moksha.

Jains believe in karma and the accumulation of karmas through different lives. Therefore, Jain renunciants don’t search for immediate enlightenment, but for a life of disciplined and exemplary practice of nonviolence; they are looking for a rebirth as a human that will be closer to the chance of achieving moksha.

Why some Tarot cards have multiple Numerology associations

The Numerology of the Tarot deck​ is a little more complex than simply reading the number on one of the 78 cards in the deck. There are 22 cards in the Major Arcana, which are numbered from 0-21. These are the “trump” cards of the deck. Then we have the Minor Arcana, which is composed of 56 cards in four different “suits” that represent the four major elements – Wands (fire), Cups (water), Swords (air), and Pentacles (Earth). Each elemental suit has 14 cards each: 4 Court cards, (King, Queen, Knight, and Page), and 10 Pip cards, labeled Ace (1) to 10.

The Court cards do not typically have a Numerological association, and the Pip cards are pretty straightforward as to their Numerological weight, (as long as you remember to also reduce 10 to 1). And the Major Arcana cards have obvious numbers attached to them as well.

But as you can see from the chart below, there are some cards that will fall under multiple vibrations, (such as the Moon Card falling under Number 9 but also falling under the Number 18).

The salt circle is one of the methods for giving an extra barrel to your protection ball. There are a few different possibilities, let’s learn more about it.

The salt circle options we are sharing with you can be used simultaneously. Therefore, you can use both options when you wish, or just one, depending on your needs and how you feel relating to the energy around you.

The salt circle is, first of all, a spell or a technique for protection. When applied to your home, it will protect it and everyone in it. This method will protect you and your loved ones on a spiritual and physical level, diffusing negative energies from your safe space. 

For better results, chose a New Moon day to perform this ritual. Starting by standing outside of your front door, start pouring the salt on the floor in a clockwise direction, around your house (do not pour salt on your plants of grass).

While you move, ask for protection for your home and all of those whose nest is in it. Protection from negative energies, harm and fear. At the same time welcome the good energies, health, happiness, kindness. Visualize a white circle of protection.

When you close the circle, repeat a protection mantra:

Salt Circle: protect your energy during your rituals

The second option here is the one you can use when you do your rituals. Either it’s meditation, writing, or any other option you usually practice. There are different techniques, the salt is just one of the possible options. 

To make it more powerful, mark the cardinal directions: the earth is represented by the north; air by east; fire on the south; and water on the west. According to that, on the north use a rock, or a crystal; on the east a feather or incense; on the south, a candle; and on the west a sea shell or a glass of water. 

Using those points, draw a salt circular line, while you ask for protection. 

Sit or stand in the middle of the circle, close your eyes and visualize a white bubble protecting you and your energy.

What to do with the salt?

On the first option, where you draw the circle around your house, let the salt vanish with the elements of nature.

When you use the circle to protect you on your spiritual practices, different options are depending on the factors. If your practice was specifically directed to remove bad energies, you want to bury the salt on the earth. On the other side, if your practice was of recharging with good vibes, you can save the salt and use small bits of it on you.

An important note is that you must not put it back on the same container you have the salt to use in future practices.

South Node and Lunar Nodes

Before diving in the explanations about South Node, first we need to tell what Lunar Nodes are. Lunar Nodes are the main aspects of Kabbalah and Karmic Astrology. Scholars also call them “Dragon’s Head” and “Dragon’s Tail” for carrying information about our future and past.

Unlike other aspects of our birth chart that we can actually see, Lunar Nodes are imaginary points in the sky. We calculate these points from the intersection of the orbit of the Sun and the Moon. Since the entire course of the Moon takes about a month and the course of the Sun a year (in fact, the Earth course around the Sun), people of the same age usually have the same Lunar Nodes.

Once you find out where your North Node is positioned, you automatically know your South Node. That is because the imaginary points are in exactly opposite directions. If you have North Node in Taurus, you have South Node in Scorpio and so on. To find out yours, you can look for a symbol that reminds the symbol of Leo upside down in your birth chart.
